A prevailing thought in the industry is that a performance measurement program involves the definition and monitoring of certain performance metrics and reports. But there is much more to it. First, metrics must be chosen and designed to focus attention on desired practices and certain business objectives. Next, the program must be developed and implemented in a way that truly changes employee behavior. Without these two important elements, a performance measurement program is not likely to succeed. This presentation will provide a step-by-step methodology for developing and implementing a successful performance measurement program.
