The Role of Green Cleaning in a Sustainable Building

Today, Green Cleaning is often thought of as the proverbial "low hanging fruit" when it comes to greening a building. This presentation will skip the "touchy – feely" stuff and the "do it because it's the 'right thing to do'" and get right into the specifics of what a facility manager really needs to know and do to make implementing a Green Cleaning program effective from a cleanliness perspective, cost efficient and easy to do. And it will be consistent with the requirements of the US Green Building Council's LEED for Existing Buildings Rating System. This program is designed for facilities that use both an in-house cleaning staff, as well as for those which out-source their cleaning services.
